SCRAP THE CAP — SB 1144 and HB 6089. We still need SERA members/retirees to contact their State Representatives and State Senators (phone call or emails) and urge them to have the House and Senate bills move forward in their respective Labor Committees, hold hearings and hold committee votes then move the bills to the Legislature and Senate floors for a vote. Both bills would remove the $300 cap on Pension COLA’s. Please take a few minutes and make those calls or emails!

I have included in the previous Chair Talks the changes that will be made to the State Dental Plan. Please read the Retiree Benefit Bulletin about Healthy Care and the 2025 rates in the Bulletin.

This December Chair Talk will be my last one as Chair of the SERA Coordinating Council. It has been an interesting and enjoyable 23 years.
