I would like to thank all the SERA members, and friends, that sent me get well cards in the past couple of months. I am still in therapy and am getting better and stronger each day. Again, thank you for the cards, they have brightened my days.

I have heard that some Dental insurance companies are not accepting the State’s payments for dental procedures. From what I have heard this is in the Upper Peninsula and the Lansing area. I have talked to Employee Benefits and they are contacting Insurance Companies about the issue. I hope to have more information in the near future.

We are still active in the Legislature about getting rid of the 3% cap on pension adjustments and reinstating our ability to get lists of new retirees. You can read more in Mary Pollock’s article.
