March 2023
By Bob Kopasz
Based upon the Financial Report from Jane Wallin indicating that we may have 4 years before we face not being able to fulfill our obligations, I propose the following changes to the CC bylaws and Council policies (effective January 1, 2024) as a means to save money:
- The Coordinating Council will reduce their meetings to two a year:
Spring—May and Fall—October
- 5 Executive board meetings by telephone conference:
First Friday of April, June, August, September and November.
- Officer/Board member Nominations in August. Elections, if needed in October
- Honorariums:
Legislative |
Rep: $750 | Alternative: ? |
Chair: | $750 | ? |
Secretary: | $500 | $500 |
Treasurer: | $500 | $500 |
- We will no longer fund Gongwer after this year.
I am sending this out with the March Agenda for Presidents, delegates and alternates to discuss We will have to make several changes in the bylaws and policies if the above changes are adopted. This is a VOLUNTEER organization. I hope we can vote on these changes at the CC meeting in August.
