There has been a lot of activity on the Legislative Front in the past couple of weeks. Legislative activity is moving so fast that you can’t keep up with it. Refer to the subjects in Mary Pollock’s Capitol News article in an attempt to keep up with the news. If we need the membership to contact their individual Legislator’s we will e-mail those that we have email addresses for. Watch the SERA website (mi-sera.org) for the latest news.

Cheryl, Joy (web master) and I will be talking later this week to explore the possibility of getting a different company to host our website. Joy thinks we can get better and cheaper service with another company.

I will be inviting Dana Nessel to be our speaker at the March CC meeting. The CC meetings will be at:

Delhi Café
4625 E. Willoughby Rd.
Holt, MI

Registration at 11:00 am, Lunch at 12, Speaker at 1:00pm. The Chair will adjourn the meeting by 3:00pm.

The issue of members paying dues by the internet (Pay Pal, Venmo, Cash App) was discussed and I will be looking into this issue to see if it is feasible for Chapters to take a serious look into accepting dues monies in this manner. Of course, this is an individual Chapter’s decision.
