October 2020
By Bob Kopasz
The Michigan Civil Service Commission and Michigan Department of Technology, Management And Budget (DTMB) have approved another Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Retiree Health Benefits. The pertinent language/section is:
“2. Cost-sharing waivers for primary-care and behavioral health office visits, telehealth medical and behavioral health services, in-office diagnostic laboratory testing and X-ray services, and COVID-19 related treatment under the MOU approved by the commission on July 13, 2020, are extended through December 31, 2020.”
On the October Retirement payment retirees should see the annual adjustment (3% or $25) reflected in their payment. This is an annual increase that occurs every October.
For those of you that remembered the September Chair Talk, I followed my suggestion and volunteered to work the polls in November. I am waiting for the next training class.
I hope you and your families are safe and healthy!
