2020 CENSUS
I have been communicating with Wayne Maybaugh (Office of the State Employer) about SERA’s assistance to promote the upcoming 2020 census. It’s important that our state has an accurate count of our residents in order to receive all the federal dollars that are allocated based on our population. There is a need to fill positions with the census. If you, or somebody you know would be interested in working for the census you/they can call 1-855-562-2020 or go to the website: 2020census.gov/jobs. Information about the census will be posted on the mi-sera.org website.
FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH SERA COORDINATING COUNCIL MEETING
The program at the Friday, March 6th SERA CC meeting will be an update on the new Medicare Advantage Plan. I have invited Arva Overton (Blue Cross/Blue Shield Key Account Manager), Bethany Beauchine (Director, Bureau of Benefits Administration) and Becky Guyski (Director of Employee Benefits Division and MI HR Service Center) as our guests and program presenters for an update on the MA plan. They will also respond to delegate/member questions. If you are interested in attending this meeting contact your Chapter President for reservations. This meeting will be held at Charlar Place in Holt, MI.
